​We're always happy to support local businesses, and our search for sourdough bread led us to The Bakery on Main. We paid them a visit and were immediately greeted by the owner's warm smile, which set the tone for a truly pleasant experience. ​The bakery is beautifully decorated, featuring racks of artisanal bread and a wide variety of sweet baked goods. We purchased a loaf of their sourdough pumpkin and couldn't wait to get home to try it. Toasted and slathered with butter, the bread's texture was reminiscent of soft, white sliced bread, but uniquely flavored with pumpkin purée and spice. We also picked up a piece of their delicious pumpkin crumble cake. ​While we didn't find the plain sourdough bread, we learned it's baked on a different day and definitely plan to return for it. Located in the heart of Uptown Greenwood, South Carolina, The Bakery on Main is absolutely worth a visit to support a great local establishment. Update: Success! We made a return trip on a Thursday and finally snagged the plain sourdough bread we'd been searching for. Our plan is to slice and freeze it so we can enjoy a perfectly yummy slice of sourdough toast with our eggs whenever the craving hits!

Very nice place with great homemade bakery items! Fresh breads, homemade cookies and desserts along with coffee and more. The owners are super friendly do a great job with this place. You need to visit and try for yourself.

I've never been here (I plan to come by soon), but my coworker brings their cookies to work and they are AMAZING. 10/10 recommend! Will update when I go myself, just wanted to send out some good vibes!
