Our go to for dinner date night in Aiken. Menu changes often so sometimes we miss being able to have the same wonderful dish twice, but there's always something interesting to try. Pictured is the buffalo rib eye with grits from my last visit there. Amazing.

I know straight 5 star ratings can be sus, but this place is phenomenal. Nice, cozy atmosphere. The menu is pleasantly geeky and "theme" organized. But the food.. the cucumber and caviar appetizer was light and refreshing. I got the tomahawk and it was perfect. Tender, cutting took no effort. Delicious. My wife got the scallop risotto.. my dude. And those desserts. Cannot recommend this place enough. We can't wait to go back.

So, I know I am posting this late since I ate here in January with my girlfriends but we have not stopped talking about how good every single thing we ordered was! I know the pasta I ordered was amazing and they said their pasta was made “in-house.” Since I was with my best friends we each ordered something different to eat and then we passed our plates around so we could taste everything and we decided we could not tell which bite/meal was best it was all soooo good! We ordered some appetizers and I’m sorry I didn’t get those pics, but the dessert flight and creme brûlée were beautiful and and delicious…honestly every single thing we ordered was so so so fresh and amazing, I cannot say enough 10/10 !!! Go here!

My wife and I are repeat customers of The Wildemount, and we visited most recently for Valentine's Day dinner. While we aim to support local establishments, and have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, we were disappointed by several aspects of this visit. First, despite requesting a table away from the entrance, we were seated in a drafty area near the front and center of the restaurant. We were told moving was not possible due to the reservation system, yet several preferred tables remained empty throughout our entire meal. It remains a mystery why the seating issue couldn't have been resolved in our favor. I did note that most of the four person tables were occupied by two people so that could not have been the problem. Regarding the food, the wait times were excessive given the fixed holiday menu for Valentine's Day. The portions are now disappointingly small for both salads and entrees. The pasta dish I ordered (vodka chicken) should have been double the portion size for the price paid. The chicken portion on my dish was neither generous nor adequately seasoned, although the small portion of pasta and sauce were passable. The arugula salad was okay but again, small. The lack of bread service has continued to be a notable deficiency. Our server and host were professional but again the seating issue colored the entire experience. The Wildemount is one of those places where small sins could be forgiven based on food quality, although there has always been some measure of inconsistency. However, this visit was just a perfect storm of mediocrity in every aspect and calls into question their focus on quality and service.

Quaint spot with 5 star food and service. Very intimate and authentic. Every visit is top notch. Highly recommend getting this place in your fine dining rotation.
