After a long day, I decided to stop by this historic gem for Thursday night jazz, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was exceptional, and the drinks and food were both outstanding. Crayton, my bartender, was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend The Wilcox for a relaxing evening or any special occasion.

My husband and I stayed at The Wilcox for a few nights during the holidays before relocating to the area in spring. The breakfast bacon and potatoes are unforgettable and amazing, but we didn’t have dinner here until tonight for my birthday. Our server, Bruce, was lovely and very attentive. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was beautiful, and everyone was very welcoming. As delicious as the main course was, the lemon lavender crème brûlée really stole the show for me. I’ve traveled all around and have sampled crème brûlée whenever I can, and I didn’t expect to find the best one in South Carolina, but here it is! We’ll certainly be back soon.

We had dinner at The Wilcox Hotel last night while celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and our server, Bruce, made the evening even more memorable. From the moment we sat down, Bruce was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. He struck the perfect balance of checking on us without ever being intrusive, and he made sure my wife, our two young daughters, and I had everything we needed throughout the meal. He was patient, personable, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. Celebrating a milestone like a 10th anniversary is special, and exceptional service can make all the difference. Bruce did exactly that. His attention to detail, positive attitude, and commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience stood out from start to finish. If you’re dining at The Wilcox, I highly recommend asking for Bruce. He is a tremendous asset to the hotel and helped make our anniversary celebration one we’ll remember for years to come.

A great place to relax and feel like you traveled back to the early 1900's. Didn't stay in a room but had an elegant dinner with friends. As a former Executive chef I highly recommend the ribeye. Perfectly seated and cooked just right. My date had the salmon and the sauce was subtle and complimented the flavor of the salmon nicely. If you're looking for a great place for a special meal and a trip back in time, you can't beat the Wilcox

The steaks are want you want on your plate when you visit. The fillet was delicious. The menu has so many side and appetizer options to choose from so we tried multiple appetizer and ended up taking way to many boxes home. Excellent food, friendly staff and relaxing environment for a date night.
