We stopped by in Augusta while driving from Charleston to Atlanta, reaching in the middle of a Wednesday. The Riverwalk looked quite dead in the middle of the working week. I'm sure it must be a lively place on weekends . I did notice that the place looked somewhat less cared for ....it could have looked better... The views across the river were beautiful! Worth visiting

Beautiful, peaceful path along the Savannah River. I wish we could've spent more time here. We saw what we think was an Osprey Hawk, which was really cool!

Plenty of walking trails and scenery. Stopped in at the marina next to the trestle bridge and enjoyed a quiet stroll. Many shaded areas to escape the sun and let the breeze go to work! The water fountains could stand to be fixed, I think I found one single working fountain; and there's a homeless population, so proceed as you see fit. I had no issues 🤷🏼‍♂️

What a beautiful way to spend a day. Walking on the Riverwalk was a highlight of my visit to Augusta. Very well maintained and gorgeous views of the river. Lots of places to sit and artwork throughout.

The Augusta Riverwalk is easily one of the most scenic spots downtown, offering beautiful multi-tiered brick paths right along the Savannah River. It’s perfect for a relaxed stroll, a morning run, or a weekend picnic—especially during the Saturday Market. While it's highly dog-friendly and offers great views, the park is sometimes held back by hit-or-miss restroom maintenance and minor litter issues. Overall, it’s a fantastic, peaceful place to enjoy the water during the day, even if a few of the amenities could use more consistent city upkeep.
